Asked before
anyone applies.
No. That is the reason most owners dread applying for business capital, and it is the first thing we built Apex to fix. Your application is never sold, shared with brokers or added to a lead list. It is read by one named underwriter at our firm, and they are the only person who contacts you about it. If you would rather be reached by email, say so and it is honored.
Both, and we tell you which on every file. Some deals fund on our own capital. Others fit a partner funder better, and on those we act as your broker: one Apex underwriter reads the file, matches it to the one funder whose guidelines it fits, and sends it there with your say-so. It never goes to twenty desks at once, and you never hear from anyone but us.
The initial review is a soft inquiry and does not affect your score. A hard pull happens only with your written consent, after you accept an offer, and only by the funder placing the final advance.
Nothing. There is no application, processing or origination fee to see your terms. If you accept an offer, any closing costs are disclosed in writing and deducted from the funded amount, never paid out of pocket beforehand.
Honest answer: anyone quoting you a rate before seeing statements is guessing. Send four statements and you will have the real numbers in writing, usually the same business day: the funded amount, the exact payment, the total payback and an early-payoff schedule.
Your last four complete months of business bank statements plus the current month to date, a voided business check, a copy of your driver's license and the completed application. Some files also need the most recent business tax return or AR aging; we flag that up front.
An advance is unsecured: your revenue is the underlying asset. A standard UCC-1 filing is placed at funding, as is industry practice, but no specific collateral is pledged. Equipment financing is the exception, where the equipment itself carries the deal.
Often, yes. Cash flow weighs heavier than the score, and several of the funders we place with do not use a FICO floor at all. A discharged bankruptcy is usually workable; an open one is not.
It depends on the daily load. If the business can carry another position, we will say so. If it cannot, we will say that too, and the right answer is usually a consolidation into one payment, not a stack. We do not fund a business into a choke.
It depends on the file. Once you accept an offer and signed agreements, banking information and verification are complete, your underwriter schedules the wire and confirms the date in writing.
Everything is transmitted over TLS 1.3 and stored encrypted at rest. Documents are served only through an authenticated, per-deal access check, and every staff login clears two-factor. Statements go to the underwriter on your file and, if one is used, the one funder reviewing it. Never to marketing partners, never to a lead list.
